Eduard van Wijk  is a Partner of  The Directors’ Office, the leading practice of Independent Directors in Luxembourg.

Eduard is a senior investment professional with over 27 years of experience in financial markets and asset management, covering long-only, hedge funds and private equity as well as fund governance.  As a Partner of Luxembourg-based The Directors' Office he serves as director on the boards of regulated and unregulated management companies and investment vehicles with a focus on private equity, infrastructure, real estate and hedge funds.

Eduard worked for Banque Indosuez and AMRO-bank before joining Robeco where he held various senior positions in institutional investment management and fund management, both in the Netherlands and the United States. He was co-founder of Robeco’s Alternative Investments division, where he headed amongst other things the hedge fund and private equity activities. He was board member of Robeco Fund Management B.V., overseeing approximately EUR 20 billion in fund assets. After leaving Robeco he founded Ardea Capital B.V., an alternative investments consultancy firm, consulting to family offices and hedge funds. Eduard has worked in the Netherlands, the United States and Luxembourg.

Eduard is registered with the Dutch Securities Institute as a Senior Investment Professional and is a member of ILA.
